“Now then, a British band with a second album and all original material. The five-piece band grew from jam sessions run at a public house (Fountain Inn, Rowland's Castle, Hants) run by ex-Van Morrison guitarist Herbie Armstrong, regarded by many as about the best in the SE areas and gigging heavily you can hear why they are so respected. Opening with the title track you are instantly in a groove. The varied collection of blues numbers has peaked at number 2 in the CD Wow unsigned chart, and it remains in the top 10 as we write this. The writing credits are evenly shared between the band members, and the eclectic range of blues styles has proved hugely popular, and songs such as Give Me Some Time, Baby You're In Charge and River Man have become live favourites. Bitter Taste is a glorious slow number with sensitive guitar, harp parts and at 5.12 has room to develop nicely. Those that like to dance will be well pleased with the album, those that like to sit and listen will enjoy, in fact this band have something for everyone no matter how you like your Blues. Empty Bottle will make you smile, Ring A Ding will make you jive, the guitar solo in River man soars wonderfully as band leader Adam Norsworthy takes the lead on this one. The lyrics are all displayed which I reckon shows a confidence that has grown in the band in their years together. The closing This Town builds gently and is yet another example of good song construction. After this I really can't wait to see these guys live!” Blues Matters
