This collection of 52 of the most popular Country recordings of 1957 features hits from the following charts “Most Played C&W in Jukeboxes” – 10 positions; until the 17th June 1957 when the chart ceased publication. “C& W Best Sellers In Stores” – 20 positions and “Most Played C&W By Jockeys - 15 positions. Most discs appeared on all three charts, some on only one or two. The tracks are presented in rough chronological order approximating the way they may have been heard on radio in 1957. Every one of the titles in this collection made the top 10 of the country charts and it features all of the 15 number ones on the chart during 1957 with the exception of Sonny James’, “Young Love” and Johnny Cash’s, “There You Go” which had both charted in late 1956.
