One of the great pioneers of Jazz, Fletcher Henderson led an orchestra from the early 20’s until the 1940’s before becoming a full time arranger for Benny Goodman. Although the best seller charts for the 1920’s were usually compiled by combining sales figures from the record labels rather than the retailers, with sales of sheet music Henderson enjoyed a significant amount of hits, including “Sugar Foot Stomp”, “Henderson Stomp” and “King Porter Stomp”, all included on this package. |
